The pretty village of Warkworth is within walking distance and is known for being home of the dramatic ruins of a 12th century castle. Its link to the past continues with the village’s selection of artisan shops and art galleries and it also has a beach and a golf course. Attractions in the area worth visiting include Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands and Alnwick Gardens.
