Twin Tides is a charming semi-detached cottage in the centre of the waterside town of Hythe. The comfortable open-plan living area offers plenty of sociable space to relax and dine, all centred around a welcoming twin-sided wood burning stove—perfect for cosy, out-of-season stays. The cute kitchen leads through to French doors opening onto the enclosed decked terrace. Upstairs, you’ll find a bright king-size bedroom overlooking the front and a second single bedroom leading through into the refitted family bathroom.
Just a short stroll and you are into the small waterside town of Hythe, with its bustling centre full of shops and café’s, with a traditional weekly street market every Tuesday. There are several pubs and restaurants, including those in Hythe Marina, with waterside drinks and dining taking in the ambience. The waterfront is the perfect vantage point to watch cruise liners and yachts sailing out to sea. Grade 2 listed Hythe pier and railway is the oldest continuously operating public pier train in the world and takes you to the ferry crossing to the maritime city of Southampton (please check service is in operation before booking). The New Forest National Park is a short drive away, where ponies, cattle and donkeys roam free, and you can walk or cycle for miles across the heathland and through wooded areas. Other local attractions include the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Calshot Beach and Activity Centre, Lepe Country Park, New Forest Wildlife Park and Paulton’s Park.
