West Alvington village is situated on the main Kingsbridge/Salcombe road within walking distance of the bustling waterside market town of Kingsbridge, which boasts numerous independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, as well as a cinema and two supermarkets for all your holiday essentials.
West Alvington itself has a village pub and an abundance of peaceful countryside walks on its doorstep, not to mention bracing cliff-top hikes with jaw-dropping views along the nearby South West Coast Path.
Within a 15 minute drive, there are several beautiful golden sandy beaches that fringe this picturesque peninsula, including Thurlestone, Hope Cove, Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea, any of which are fantastic spots for a family beach day.
The sailing mecca of Salcombe lies just 5 miles away, with its stunning views across the harbour to the golden beaches at East Portlemouth and Mill Bay (accessible by passenger ferry) and its excellent shopping and dining establishments.
