New for 2026

Overlooking the open Forest, Conway Cottage is a charming and recently restored cob cottage with characterful and cosy accommodation. Heathland walks and cycling routes lead straight from the door and the cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the New Forest National Park and local attractions.

The comfortable lounge is arranged around a wood-burning stove in the winter months, and for the summer the sofas are moved to take in the glorious rear garden, with pretty planting giving colour all year round. The refitted dining kitchen overlooks the Forest, with donkeys and ponies regularly congregating outside the kitchen window! A shower room and useful boot room complete the downstairs accommodation. Upstairs, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms, two of which benefit from views across the Forest, and a family bathroom.

The village of East Boldre is within the New Forest National Park, with free roaming ponies, donkeys and cattle wandering along amongst the pretty country cottages. The Turfcutters Arms is a great spot for a local brew and pub lunch, with dining rooms and open fires in the colder months. A well-stocked community shop and café is worth a visit for those holiday essentials, and the nearby Georgian market town of Lymington has a fabulous Saturday market lining the main street. Other local attractions include the National Motor Museum and Palace House at Beaulieu, Exbury Gardens and steam railway, Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World and the beaches of the south coast.

There are steep cottage stairs to the first floor which may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Please call us for more information.

Outside

The secluded rear garden is fully enclosed and features a paved terrace with wooden table, chairs and parasol, offering a relaxed space for dining and drinks. Steps lead up to a flat lawn which is bordered by seasonal planting, and a small kettle barbecue is available for guests to use, plus a lockable shed offering storage for bikes. There is also a hot & cold pet shower in the rear garden — ideal after muddy walks and forest adventures! The open Forest is just outside the front of the cottage, with miles of heathland to explore.

The local area

East Boldre is a lovely village in the heart of the New Forest. Surrounded by picturesque forest scenery, it's the perfect place to relax, slow down, and escape life's daily stresses.

Home to an excellent pub, The Turfcutters Arms, just 5 minutes from Beaulieu, with its famous motor museum, and Michelin star restaurant at the Montagu Arms, and only 10 minutes from the coast and the delightful bustling town of Lymington, you'll find it easy to do as little or as much as you like on your holiday.

Parking

There is parking for one car on the private driveway and an additional car directly in front of the picket fence to the cottage. The gate must be kept closed at all times to prevent livestock entering the grounds.
